One year ago today, #CelticFC‘s number 1⃣7⃣ scored this belter in the #BetfredCup semi-final and he never looked back! pic.twitter.com/iauV8CiOqZ

It featured a video clip of Ryan Christie’s stunning 20-yard goal in the 3-0 win over Hearts that put Celtic into the final, with the match being played one year ago yesterday.
Christie’s 72nd-minute strike was the third goal of a hugely satisfying afternoon for the Hoops, with Scott Sinclair and James Forrest having also been on target earlier in the second half at Murrayfield. [via BBC]
That goal was the first of 11 that Christie would score in all competitions for Celtic last season and he has already exceeded that tally for the current campaign, his strike against Lazio in the Europa League last week his 12th goal of what has been a very prolific season for the 24-year-old midfielder. These Celtic fans on Twitter recalled his goal from the win over Hearts a year ago and basked in his magnificent form since then:
I was there at #BTMurrayfield. That was the very day a new star was born. Ryan Christie is his name.
