According to Football Insider, Celtic want to sign Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke (currently on loan at QPR) this summer after losing out on landing him in January.
The Hoops are weighing up whether to get a better idea of the player by attempting to sign him on a season-long loan in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old has already had an eventful career, having been lauded by his former manager Marcelo Bielsa during his time at Leeds, and his talent did not go unnoticed as Premier League side Tottenham signed the winger in July 2019 after his first season in professional football on a deal worth around £10m, as per BBC.
Although he has not yet played for Spurs, his performances for Leeds hinted at the scale of his potential. In his time at Elland Road, he averaged 1.2 successful dribbles per game, via WhoScored, highlighting his ability at taking on opposition defences, and to be confident in doing this at such a young age bodes well for his future growth.

Meanwhile it looks unlikely that Celtic will be able to keep hold of current on-loan winger Mohamed Elyounoussi, as the player has declared he wants to prove he can make it in the Premier League at Southampton.
Speaking to TV2 about his future, Elyounoussi said: “I still have three years left of the contract with Southampton and I want to show myself from a better side than what I have done. I hope I can come back and fight back a place.”
Therefore, Clarke could be the ideal replacement for the Norwegian and, as they did with Elyounoussi, a loan move could be a good idea as well for the Hoops, who can benefit from having the player for several months without committing to a transfer fee in case it doesn’t work out but potentially seek to sign him permanently if all goes well.
