Celtic: Bhoys set to receive windfall in transfer regarding former Hoops star

Celtic could be set to profit if former Bhoys’ striker Moussa Dembele switches clubs this summer, according to reports.
Dembele helping Celtic once more
The 24-year-old spent two seasons at Parkhead following his free transfer from Premier League side Fulham in 2016 and went on to score 51 goals from 94 appearances, before his £20m switch to Ligue 1 giants Lyon in 2018, and was described as a “wonderful talent” by former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders.
But he is edging closer to moving to Atletico Madrid after the Spanish club recently terminated Diego Costa’s contract – an initial loan move with the option to buy (via Nicolo Schira).
Journalist Anthony Joseph revealed details in his Lyon contract that will benefit Celtic immensely.

Currently valued at £27m, and if his transfer fee was to match that next summer, this means that Celtic would pocket £2.7m. But of course, this will depend on how the negotiations play out between the two clubs.
Transfer Tavern Verdict
Dembele appears to be helping Celtic out once again, which we are sure the supporters will be extremely grateful for.
The French centre-forward was a huge success during Brendan Rodgers’ reign at the club and helped the Hoops to secure multiple Scottish Premiership titles.
Chief executive Peter Lawwell will be monitoring the situation closely, and manager Neil Lennon that any funds accumulated can be invested into the playing squad next season. Time will tell.
