Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard is closing in on signing a new deal at Parkhead, according to reports.
Hazard to stay at Celtic
The 22-year-old has impressed many during the 2020/21 campaign, including former Aberdeen striker Noel Whelan who described him as “hungry” and “putting a lot of the experienced players to shame” (via Football Insider).
Hazard has made two first-team appearances this season and managed to keep a clean sheet during his only Premiership outing, which was during his side’s 2-0 win against Kilmarnock (TransferMarkt).
On the back of this, Celtic intend to hand him a long-term new contract, which Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph explained.

Transfer Tavern Verdict
Hazard will receive a huge psychological boost from this as well. At such a young age, a string of games under Lennon will be just what he needs to take him to the next level.
Time will tell whether he will get the opportunity to do just that, with the Bhoys looking to bridge the gap to arch-rivals Rangers in the table.
