Celtic have been recently linked with a move for attacking player Robert Snodgrass, however it looks like this move will not come to fruition following the latest reports.
According to The Herald, the Hoops will not be signing the 33 year-old on loan this transfer window and this is due to the fact the nine-in-a-row Scottish champions would have to let a couple players to depart the club to get any deal over the line, and they have not managed to do this yet.
The fact the Bhoys are close to securing a loan move for AC Milan defender Diego Laxalt highlights that they are possibly accepting the fact that cannot get Snodgrass.
Many Scottish Celtic fans will know the West Ham winger as he has made 28 appearances for Scotland, scoring seven times, per Transfermarkt, and to still be playing in the Premier League at the age of 33 highlights that he definitely has some quality coming into the final years of his career.
He could definitely provide an attacking threat, even if he would not be a starting player, as he has scored 98 goals and provided 94 assists throughout his career in his 494 appearances, per Transfermarkt. However, it will not be the biggest worry for those associated with the Hoops to see a possible deal fall through.
This is due to the fact that Snodgrass is starting to be seen as more of a fringe player at the Hammers as he has only featured in the League Cup this campaign, per Transfermarkt, and last season, he was not even involved in the squad for nine games of the Premier League.
