No doubt, the Swedish striker has had a huge impact at Old Trafford since arriving from PSG on a one-year contract last summer, notching up 15 goals and four assists in the Premier League whilst netting 26 times across all competitions.

Therefore, you’d expect news he could be extending his stay with the Red Devils by another year to strike fear into the hearts of non-United drinkers in the Tavern, but not everybody is so scared of the 35-year-old forward.
Perhaps because of his age, perhaps because he inevitably slows down play, perhaps because he’s only fifth in the Premier League’s scoring charts – behind representatives from Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea – some rival fans online have used the contract update as an opportunity to mock the Red Devils.
