Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are getting the beers in early this morning, and they have every reason to be celebrating, the Blues have taken a huge step towards a monumental summer deal.
According to reports from French newspaper, Le Parisien, Chelsea have agreed a fee with Premier League champions, Leicester City for star midfielder, N’Golo Kante.
The French international was rumoured to have a €25m release clause in his contract however, Sport Witness have suggested that such a clause may not exist. Reports from France are claiming that the fee agreed is actually €35m.
The Blues had reportedly faced competiton from European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, however the new boss at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte, had earmarked the 25-year-old as a priority this summer.
The midfielder, who has recently returned from international duty with France at the Euros, has signed a five-year-deal and the switch is set to be concluded sooner rather than later.
