Chelsea fans are looking up with agreeing looks etched across their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro claimed Eden Hazard may look to leave the Premier League after growing increasingly frustrated with officials – according to Jose Mourinho at least.
Mourinho firstly made the point that his star man is a joy to watch and we have to agree with him as he noted: “People in love with football in this country, people must be in love with Eden Hazard.”
However the Special One also claimed that Hazard may one day look to leave for a league where he gets more protection and is allowed to showcase his skills, adding: “The way, match after match, he’s being punished by opponents and he’s not being protected by referees, maybe one day we won’t have Eden Hazard.
“It’s one, two, three, four, five, 10 aggressive fouls against him. They kick and kick and kick, and the kid resists. He’s a very honest guy in the way he plays, but that’s another problem.”
We do think that the Belgian winger is growing increasingly frustrated with treatment from officials, yet it seems that officials are making more and more contentious decisions in general this term and not just in Chelsea games.
Chelsea fans. Do you think that Hazard is someone who will stay in the Premier League for the rest of his career or is this unrealistic, given his age? Let us know your thoughts below.
