Chelsea fans are rolling their eyes and trying not to laugh at the latest claim coming from Metro who seem to think they know the reason behind the delay in Eden Hazard’s new deal.
The Chelsea star man has been offered a new and improved deal to keep him at the club long-term and there have been a few raised eyebrows as to why Hazard has not yet put pen to paper but his manager has a rather simple, if bizarre reason for the delay.
Mourinho was speaking about the delay in Hazard’s new deal and quipped that it was all down to the lack of quality pens available at Stamford Bridge.
He claimed: “I need a bit of time to go to Sloane Street and buy a proper pen. I just need time to buy the pen and after that I think there is not a long time to go!”
As one of our punters notes, with all that money, you would think that Roman Abramovich could pop down to a stationery shop and at least fork out for a few Parker pens!
