Now that manager Antonio Conte has seemingly sorted their defence out, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have turned their attentions to goings on further up the pitch.
Though life is pretty good right now, the insatiable nature of modern day football has our west London locals chomping at the bit in regards to rumours and reports.
So, they’ve gleefully snapped up reports from TuttoMercatoWeb, claiming the Blues are trying to open talks with European giants Paris Saint-Germain over a January deal.
The subject of their interested is believed to be Javier Pastore, who has fallen out of favour in the French capital amidst Unai Emery’s own tactical reshuffle.
The Argentine was a big money signing for Les Parisians when they were initially taken over back in 2011, though has struggled to always command a starting berth for the dominant Ligue 1 champions.
For their part, the French giants are thought to be aiming to ward off any interest in the former Palermo man, with Juventus and teams from the Chinese Super League understood to be keen to.
