Chelsea faced Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, and it gave Frank Lampard the opportunity to give some key players rests and pass an opportunity to players who’ve been left out in the cold. One player who wasn’t given the opportunity to start though was Tariq Lamptey, and some fans weren’t pleased.

The likes of Ross Barkley and Pedro made the starting 11, but 19-year-old Lamptey began the game on the bench. The right-back has played 10 games for the youth team in Premier League 2 this season and has made one appearance from the bench in the Premier League. He’s clearly highly thought of by Chelsea fans given their reaction on Twitter.
The club posted the news of their starting 11 which included nine changes from the 1-1 draw with Brighton on New Year’s Day. When it was clear Lamptey wouldn’t be starting the game, some fans replied to the tweet to show how annoyed they were to see him on the bench.
