Many Chelsea fans on Twitter have been publicising their opinion that Christian Pulisic should make his return to the starting 11 in the Champions League when they face Lille OSC.
Having been signed in January for £58m, Pulisic was loaned back to Borussia Dortmund until the end of the last season.
Pulisic began the campaign on the bench in the defeat to Manchester United and then made his way into the starting side for three Premier League games in a row. In that time he recorded one assist, as well as assisting in the EFL Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, so from a statistical point of view his output has been quite productive.
However, that has not been enough to keep his place lately in the league as Lampard has opted for Mason Mount and Willian in wide positions instead which is more than understandable given Mount’s form and Willian’s experience in a youthful side.
Pulisic has sat on the bench for three league games in a row now and, given his record of 19 goals and 26 assists in 127 games for Borussia Dortmund, many Chelsea fans are crying out for him to be given a chance tomorrow so he can showcase his ability and prove to Lampard why he should be starting.
