Loads of Chelsea fans have been left fuming following news surrounding Tammy Abraham and his ankle injury.
The 22-year-old picked up a knock in the recent 2-2 draw with Arsenal and had to miss out on his side’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory against Hull City as a result. He has clearly been struggling but, according to The Telegraph‘s Matt Law, he could be forced to play through the pain barrier in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off versus Leicester City.
Law reports that following the lack of movement regarding a new striker being brought in, Lampard may have no choice but to turn to a possibly unfit Abraham, which is hardly surprising. After all, the England international is the Blues’ leading goalscorer in all competitions with 15 goals.
Registering an average of 3.1 shots per game in the Premier League (via WhoScored), more than any other player in the squad, Abraham is clearly Chelsea’s biggest threat. Still, it is quite clearly a risk, one several Chelsea supporters are not happy about.
Take a look at what they have had to say about the overall situation below…

Absolute embarrassment. By far more than enough time to sort this out not to mention the fact they want to risk further aggravating his injury when there’s Michy to consider

Hope this isn’t accurate. I mean what kind of message does it send to the players and our targets.
