Chelsea fans were left lauding Mateo Kovacic after the Croatian’s statistics from Saturday’s loss away to Manchester City emerged.
It was revealed by the club that the Croatia international had the most touches (113), played the most accurate passes (90) and most dribbles of any player on the pitch (5) (via Chelsea).
His ability on the ball is clearly one of his skills that his fellow teammates know about after the 25-year-old spent more time on the ball than any other player (7.6%).
Kovacic completed a £40m move from Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge in the summer having spent last season on loan with the Blues.
His form last season wasn’t the best with Kovacic having started just 21 of his 32 top-flight appearances. He also managed to go through the whole campaign with just two assists, a tally he has already matched this year (via WhoScored).
