Mateo Kovacic is receiving a lot of praise for his performance against Manchester United at Wembley.

Goals from Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount helped get their side over the line, rounded off by a Harry Maguire own goal. Bruno Fernandes found the back of the net for United in the 85th minute but it would prove to be merely a consolation.
On top of those who scored, Kovacic is being lauded for his efforts after the official Chelsea Instagram account uploaded a picture of him in action. Many fans are even calling for him to be named their Player of the Season.

According to FotMob, the Croatian completed 100% of his dribbles attempted (4/4), which was the highest in the game. He also won the most duels of any other player with an impressive eight. Additionally, Kovacic enjoyed an 86% pass rate and made three interceptions and one tackle.
The £32.4m-valued ace has been a welcome returnee from his loan spell with Real Madrid and has been an almost ever-present member of Frank Lampard’s team. He has missed just eight matches this season for Chelsea across all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

The Blues will face Liverpool and Wolves before they have chance to fight for their ninth FA Cup against Arsenal. They will prepare to take on the Premier League champions tomorrow evening in their continued battle for Champions League football.
