Loads of Chelsea fans have lashed out at Cesar Azpilicueta following the 30-year-old’s comments on his younger team-mates.
The Chelsea captain has called for patience after Frank Lampard’s young side were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton on New Year’s Day.

The likes of Tammy Abraham, 22, and Mason Mount, 20, have impressed in blue this season, but they were unable to fire Chelsea to victory in their recent outing as the team’s form continues to remain inconsistent.
“It is their first year in the Premier League and they are doing amazingly well, it is part of the process and we need to keep it all together,” Azpilicueta was quoted as saying by Goal.
Prior, Lampard’s side were able to come from behind to beat London rivals Arsenal 2-1, a game that followed a 2-0 defeat at home to Southampton, showcasing the team’s inconsistency.
Fans have since taken to Twitter to discuss Azpilicueta’s comments and it does not make good reading for the Spain international, with some believing the experienced players such as himself also need to take some of the blame for all of the above.
Here is what they have had to say:

If the old players does nothing consistently, then it’s rich to expect from these young guns. Where will they learn from, willian??!?
