Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham on Sunday became a fiery affair long before Son Heung-min kicked out at Antonio Rudiger.
In the first half, Mateo Kovacic clashed with Dele Alli after a coming together — and Blues supporters absolutely loved it.

The Croatian midfielder, alongside Alli, was booked for the altercation and will now miss the Southampton game on Boxing Day. It was his fifth yellow card of the season, resulting in the suspension, but Chelsea fans did not seem to care one bit.
After some very poor performances and results of late, including a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, they would have surely just been glad to see some fight — something Kovacic evidently showed after squaring up to Alli.
With the 25-year-old now suspended, Frank Lampard could turn to Jorginho for the game against Southampton after dropping him for the win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Italy international has been a regular at Stamford Bridge this season, starting 14 of Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures.
