On transfer deadline day, there’s always the late movers who failed to get the business that needed to be done early on, and it looks like PSG are one of those sides this January. The Paris club signed Leandro Paredes just two days ago, and now Sky Sports claim they’re looking at Willian as a replacement for the injury Neymar.

For PSG, signing Willian is a move that would make sense for a lot of reasons. The Ligue 1 champions are in a position where they need to act. They recently lost their marquee man Neymar to injury and with the Brazilian now confirmed as out of both legs of his club’s Champions League clash with Manchester United, they’re desperate for a move for a man who can replace the world’s most expensive player.
Whilst this may sound like a strange one when Neymar’s fit there will still be a place in the squad for Willian as the Brazilian would be just the 4th wide-player on their books. They already have Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria, and Willian’s rotation would prove useful, and with Chelsea fans looking to let the Brazilian go this window as they’re keen to see a lot more of Callum Hudson-Odoi this season.
