Chelsea fans have been praising N’Golo Kante after comments from Aston Villa manager Dean Smith on the French midfielder.
Smith came out after the game and said that at one point during the encounter he thought there was ‘three Kantes’ on the pitch (via football.london).
He also received high praise from manager Frank Lampard, who claimed that he doesn’t have to say much to the player before a game.
The France international was in superb form during the game against the Villans, making the most interceptions and the joint-second-most blocks of any Chelsea player (via WhoScored).
Kante has suffered a stop-start campaign so far this year, featuring in just 11 of the 23 games across all competitions (via Transfermarkt).
Fans were extremely complimentary of the midfielder following the praise from Smith as they took to Twitter to react.
