Chelsea shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga made headlines when he arrived in west London last summer for £71m.
The 24-year-old became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he moved from Athletic Bilbao 13 months ago, but settled into his new surroundings well last term as Chelsea finished third in the Premier League and won the Europa League.
The Spaniard kept 23 clean sheets in all competitions last time out, but was criticised after the Blues’ EFL Cup final defeat against Manchester City in February when he refused to be substituted by then-manager Maurizio Sarri at Wembley, something that the young goalkeeper has since admitted he was “not proud of”.
Since that fateful day in north London, though, Kepa’s performances have earned him credit as one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers. The Blues No.1 is currently on international duty with Spain, and made this phenomenal last-minute save against Romania last night – here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to it on Twitter.
Only chelsea defence is making him feel like he is not good enough
