If there is one thing our Chelsea regulars are excited about here at the Transfer Tavern it’s certainly the club’s academy players.

For the past fifteen months the club have been going on a downward spiral and things don’t look like improving anytime soon.

Nonetheless, with close to 40 players out on loan for the club currently, a number of teenagers are impressing which should give Chelsea fans room for optimism for the coming seasons ahead.

A number of first-team players have been out on loan whilst a number of young players remain at lower league clubs and are continuing to impress.

Whether it be defenders, goalkeepers or attackers, Chelsea have loaned out a mix of everyone.

With all of them set to return, Antonio Conte will be spoiled for choice however these TWO our landlord feels should excite the Chelsea faithful…..

Tammy Abraham

Remember the name football fans!

Likened to Ian Wright by our landlord, Tammy Abraham is tearing the Championship up this season.

10 goals already for Bristol City this season and we are not even at the end of October.

Big things were expected of Abraham and he is yet to disappoint. Diego Costa is not getting any younger and Abraham could prove himself to be the long term successor to the Spaniard in Antonio Conte’s side.

Natural goal-scorers are becoming a rarity in the modern game and Abraham is certainly one of them.

Andreas Christensen

European football’s next big defender is Andreas Christensen.

On-loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, the defender is starting to gather the attention of club’s like Barcelona and Manchester City and if Chelsea don’t act quickly, Conte may lose his next big defender.

Christensen is the ideal replacement for John Terry as our regulars are becoming worried about their captain’s departure.
