Several Chelsea fans have been singing Andreas Christensen’s praises following his display in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Burnley.
The 23-year-old has been on the fringes this season, failing to feature in any of Chelsea’s last five Premier League fixtures before the Burnley victory. However, he was given the nod by manager Frank Lampard for that clash and did not disappoint.
According to Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Christensen won 72.7% of his duels and was involved in eight aerial duels, which was more than any other Chelsea player. Indeed, physically, it was a good showing by the Danish centre-half on the day.
Christensen will now be looking to maintain that level given the competition in the Blues’ squad at the back. As well as the Denmark international, Lampard also has Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori to call upon when it comes to assembling his central defence.

Frank Lampard definitely played Andreas Christensen against Burnley as a test. Frank wanted AC to step up against strong, physical attackers,and Christensen passed the test with flying colours.
Andreas deserves a lot of credit for his performance…
