Many Chelsea fans were thrilled after it was revealed by manager Frank Lampard that N’Golo Kante is fit for their Champions League home game against Ajax tonight.
The 38-cap France international has been out for a prolonged period after suffering injury difficulties, but he trained with the squad yesterday as they prepared for their game against the Dutch champions (via Chelsea).
Lampard lauded Kante after speaking of his return from injury, claiming he’s one of the best midfielders in the world.
However, it doesn’t seem like the France international’s absence has harmed the west London side, who have won eight of their last nine games (via WhoScored).
In the Champions League, Chelsea have secured back-to-back wins against Lille and Ajax to rise to the top of their group ahead of tonight’s game against Erik ten Hag’s men.
