Chelsea: Fans took to Twitter to celebrate N’Golo Kante’s three-year anniversary

Chelsea posted a tweet to celebrate N’Golo Kante’s three-year anniversary with the club on Tuesday and fans have been reacting to it in their droves.

The midfielder was signed from Leicester City for a transfer fee believed to have been in the region of around £30million (BBC).

That figure looks to have been a solid investment for the Blues and a bargain at that as he has helped to guide the Stamford Bridge outfit to a Premier League title, a Europa League title and an FA Cup, whilst also being recognised as the club’s Player of the Year in the 2016/17 campaign (Transfermarkt).

During his time with Chelsea, Kante also became a World Cup winner with France as well as being named the nation’s best player in 2017 (Transfermarkt).

According to stats collected by WhoScored, the 28-year-old managed to record an average of 2.1 tackles per match in his 36 Premier League appearances, as well as 1.2 interceptions. Having been played out of position for much of the year by Maurizio Sarri, something which many including Emmanuel Petit have spoken about, he was also rather productive when moving the ball forward as well.

Kante managed 1.3 key passes every 90 mins whilst he also had a success rate of 87.9% throughout his campaign.

His performances have not gone unnoticed as the Blues handed him a bumper new deal in November worth around £290,000-a-week (Goal).

Indeed, fans have been delighted with his displays as a Chelsea man and many of them have been sharing their praise and gratitude towards him.

Here are just some of their reactions…
