Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are firmly of the opinion that the title is their’s now as they head towards the business end of the season.
It’s looking pretty ominous, too, if you’re not a supporter of the Blues with them now ten points clear at the Premier League summit and looking pretty unstoppable.
Summer, then, will be the next real chance for their rivals to reel them in though it looks as though the Blues are going to do all they can to try and preserve and, indeed, extend their advantage for 2017/18.
Certainly they appear to have been handed the initiative in the chase for Joao Cancelo with the Valencia man – according to Deporte Valenciano – now available for a move in the next window.
Indeed, this certainly is a boost with Yahoo Sport saying that Cancelo is a key target for the Stamford Bridge outfit for the next market and so plans may just be being put in place to get this over the line.
Time will tell of course, but the Blues look well placed to get it sealed.
