The Tevez saga continues as Manchester City’s want away captain could be swapping Manchester for London. Chelsea are keen to add the talismanic Argentine to their front line, providing a much needed spark in the final third. The Blues have instructed super agent Pini Zahavi to negotiate a potential deal with Tevez’s representatives.
City however, are reluctant to let their star man go to a fellow premiership club, even with Chelsea’s financial muscle. Tevez signed for Mancini’s men back in the summer of 2009. His boundless energy and prolific goal scoring quickly made him a firm fan favourite. Netting 52 goals in just 81 appearances for this seasons 3rd placed outfit.
The 27 year-old is the centre of a tug of war between some of Europe’s top sides, including Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Even with lure of Champions League football at Eastland’s next season, Tevez is reportedly keen to join the free-spending Londoners. Tevez has had a volatile relationship with Roberto Mancini, often expressing his frustration at the Italian tacticians intense training methods and negative approach.
Mancini has previously declared that he will keep no player at the club against their own will. If a substantial offer is provided by Abromovich, Tevez’s own desire to leave may be too strong to turn down.
