Speaking to Sky Sports News, via the Daily Express, journalist Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Chelsea target Kai Havertz ‘really wants’ a move to west London as Frank Lampard’s side keep knocking on the door.
Havertz, who has been continuously linked with a Chelsea transfer since the start of the summer window, is seemingly at the pinnacle of sporting director Marina Granovskaia’s wish list – with the Blues looking to strengthen in all areas before the start of the 2020/2021 Premier League season.

The fixture schedule has been released, clubs up and down the country are running out of time to make necessary additions, but the Havertz negotiations appear to be in full swing as per recent reports.
Solhekol, delivering an update, claimed that the £35,000-per-week ace is certainly up for it and could not be more enthusiastic – insisting that the Germany international ‘wants Chelsea more than Chelsea want him’.
Scoring 18 goals in all competitions last season (Transfermarkt), the Blues will have to fork out more than their £58.6 million-valuation of Havertz but are hoping more lucrative add-ons and bonuses can sweeten a potential agreement.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed Leverkusen and Chelsea were £17.8 million apart in terms of shaking hands on an actual fee, but the clubs continue to negotiate over what will arguably be one of the most high profile transfers this summer.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also displayed interest in the 6ft 2 attacker, but their inability to afford his price tag has gifted Chelsea the chance to make another blockbuster signing.
