Rangers fans are still celebrating in the wake of Pedro Caixinha’s confirmed move to Ibrox to replace Mark Warburton as manager, but some disappointing news has landed in front of them from the Mirror, who claim that Chelsea are eyeing one of the club’s most talented youngsters: Billy Gilmour.
The 15-year-old is believed to be one of the finest young footballers in Scotland and has already been involved with the Gers’ first-team set-up this season, suggesting that his progression to the senior side is on course.
But the Mirror claim that Chelsea are eager to steal in and land the teenager, who is also being tracked by big clubs such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and are even ready to spend a significant amount of money to nab him.
Gilmour is not the only prodigious youngster the Blues are after, with Ajax’s 16-year-old attacker Daishawn Redan also on their agenda.
Should Chelsea be paying more attention to their own youngsters instead of buying others clubs’ talent?
