Chelsea set to lose out on £1m loan fee from AC Milan

Marco van GinkelChelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are scratching their heads in confusion with talkSPORT revealing that the Blues will not receive the £1m loan fee from AC Milan for Marco van Ginkel’s move.

This is because the 22-year-old has not played enough games for the Serie A giants, meaning they do not have to pay the full fee.

This is because there was an agreement in his season long-loan deal that once he had reached 20 appearances then they would have to pay the fee.

But the reason why he has only made six appearances this season, is not because Milan are cheapskates, but because he has struggled for form and fitness.

Also in the deal there was a clause, which would allow Milan to sign him on a permanent deal, but with the way the loan deal has gone, it is looking unlikely they will sign him up in the summer.

Chelsea fans. Do you think he will be sold in the summer or should Jose Mourinho loan him out again? Let us know your thoughts below.
