Chelsea fans may have seen their lead at the top of the Premier League table go from eight points to just goal difference alone but the London Evening Standard have some good news for Blues fans at last.

The West London club are currently in negotiations with Eden Hazard over a new deal.

Not only has Jose Mourinho been lavishing praise on the player; he has made it very clear that in terms of Hazard’s future at Chelsea, the fans should have no concerns and the likes of Paris Saint-Germain will only be able to admire him from afar – or against them!

The Special One claimed: “I think he can be one of the all-time greats. But no player can be considered a legend in the club without winning titles. He has to do that.”

He also made it very clear that in terms of the new deal on the table, the club have no concerns that it will be signed, adding: “Eden will sign a new deal. I was never worried about it.

“Since the moment I met his father and everything was very clear about their intention and their happiness to stay with Chelsea.”
