Chelsea star goes public in desire to stay at Stamford Bridge

JTChelsea fans have smiles on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail claims that John Terry wants to remain at Stamford Bridge.

The long serving Chelsea defender has been impressive this season and Blues manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he still rates the 34-year-old and we think that the club will be keen to extend his stay this summer.

Given the Blues have a policy of a one-year deal for players over 30, the contractual situation between Chelsea and Terry is not unusual and the player is certainly keeping a cool head when it comes to negotiations.

The long serving Chelsea player was clear when he spoke about his future and noted: “The club know my position,

“Hopefully, I know theirs and it will get done. No talks have happened yet between myself and the club but we both respect the position.”

Our landlord suggests that the club are simply just waiting until they have sorted all the younger player’s contracts out and given Eden Hazard has just penned a long-term extension to remain in West London, our punters admit that he could well be right.

Chelsea fans. Would John Terry extending his stay at Stamford Bridge be the icing on the cake this season? Let us know your thoughts below.
