Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are thrilled that Branislav Ivanovic has been offered a new deal, as the Express revealed the club are in talks over a new one-year contract.
The 31-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is currently dealing with the negotiations all on his own, dismissing the idea of an agent.
The humble Serbian defender has been impressive this season at right back for the Blues as he has been consistent defensively as well as being a threat going forwards.
He has in fact bagged 31 goals during his eight year spell at Stamford Bridge, with him having scored a surprising nine goals already this season.
Highly-rated pundit Gary Neville has recently hailed him as the best right back in the Premier League, meaning it is no shock that he is one of the many players in line for a new deal Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is also set for a new deal which will see him earn £4.8million-a-year whilst John Terry is also set for a contract extension.
