Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are happy to hear that they renewing their interest in their top target in January after Metro revealed they have agreed an £18m deal for Shakhtar Donetsk star Douglas Costa.
The Brazilian midfielder was linked with Jose Mourinho’s side throughout the window but he failed to land him after a busy January with André Schürrle and Mohamed Salah both leaving the club to make way for Juan Cuadrado.
Costa has previously spoken out about his intentions to join Chelsea as he previously labeled it as a dream move.
The 24-year-old also believes that by hooking up with the other stars at Chelsea it would help him achieve everything he wants in football.
Plenty of people believed that Mourinho wouldn’t need many reinforcements in the summer but following a few shaky performances and a dip in form, it seems as though new players are needed.
