Chelsea to pay incredible £75m release clause for Manchester United target

BaleChelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are questioning the rumour from Metro, which says that the Blues will pay Real Madrid the £75m release clause for Gareth Bale.

Bale has been strongly linked with a move back to the Premier League since his mistreatment in Spain.

But the Welshman has since confirmed that he is determined to prove himself in Spain.

Although Jose Mourinho is willing to test the waters at the Bernabeu and a bid may unsettle the situation, however they will face competition from Manchester United, who are also interested in the ex-Tottenham ace.

And the Blues will hope to tempt him to Stamford Bridge with an offer of £300,000-a-week, this would make him the highest paid player at Chelsea.

Many punters have questioned whether or not the Blues will be able to make this move work within the Financial Fair Play regulations.

But this will not be a problem, after they were handed a boost giving them more freedom in the transfer market.

Blues fans sat inside the Football Transfer Tavern are deliberating the deal, with the majority feeling he would be a superb addition, but £75 million is somewhat extortionate.

Chelsea fans. Do you think it is a no brainer or is £75m too much? Let us know your thoughts below.
