Chelsea transfer news will split fans as journalist reveals all

Diego Costa is still a figure often talked about by the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, despite not having featured for the club this season.

The Blues in the bar love the Spaniard to bits, though don’t agree with his strike against the club amid reports linking him with a January move back to Atletico Madrid.

With Alvaro Morata impressing, our west London locals are just eager to see the 28-year-old’s situation resolves as soon as possible, so comments from Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones have proven rather interesting.

He’s revealed Turkish giants Fenerbahce have held talks about a loan move for the Spaniard, with their transfer window not closing until tomorrow.

However, Jones has also revealed that, so far anyway, no agreement has yet been reached that’d see Costa move to Istanbul.

Though some of the more optimistic punters propping up our bar hope the Spaniard returns to Stamford Bridge, getting him out sooner rather than later would surely be better for all involved.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Getting this sorted as soon as possible is of paramount importance to Chelsea. Clearly, it’s a difficult situation, but there’s surely no way back for him and perhaps a move to Turkey for 6 months would be good for him.
