In the spirit of Black Friday, Chelsea fan Laurenz Vescoli has Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk on the top of his ideal shopping list for Chelsea.
While also facetiously mentioning former Chelsea players Kevin de Bruyne and Mo Salah in addition to Roberto Aguero, Vescoli mentions Van Dijk’s defensive prowess as a key factor for Chelsea going forward.
It is not hard to see why he feels this way. While Chelsea’s young talent have scored them plenty of goals up to this point in the season, their 19 goals conceded makes for the most out of any current top 4 side. While Van Dijk seems to be committed at Liverpool for the long run, the centre back would certainly make an immediate impact on a team in need of a defensive boost.
The new year will bring with it the challenges of Liverpool capturing an elusive PL title and Chelsea keeping up their current league form with their young players.
