Antonio Conte is widely being talked about as the king of Chelsea here in the Transfer Tavern after his great start to life at Stamford Bridge, but reports from Telefoot claim that the club want another king in the form of King-sley Coman.
The French winger has reportedly been the subject of offers of between €50m (£43.7m) – €60m (£52.4m) from the Blues and Manchester City as his transfer saga reaches a pivotal stage.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Juventus and although the Bundesliga giants have a clause in place to sign him permanently for €20m (£17.5m) when this spell ends in a few months’ time, the Premier League giants hope they can poach him from their grasp.
The decision looks to be down to Coman himself and after an injury-plagued campaign at the Allianz Arena, he’s managed just 17 appearances, there’s a chance he may elect to move on with Carlo Ancelotti likely to have big plans this summer.
The youngster has been a part of title-winning campaigns for PSG in France, Juve in Italy and Bayern in Germany and has the sort of experience that might make him appealing to Conte as he gears up for a return to the Champions League.
Is Kingsley Coman the right calibre of player for Chelsea to chase?
