Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking over to the pool table and demanding to know what our landlord has read in the Daily Express and given it concerns one of their loan stars, we cannot blame them.
Victor Moses is the man in question and after impressing while at Stoke City, it seems manager Mark Hughes would like to make the loan deal permanent in the summer providing Chelsea and Jose Mourinho agree of course.
Hughes spoke about his plans for the winger and claimed:‘We’d ideally love to be able to take him if we can but that won’t be our decision.
‘Things have to fall in place but if there was an opportunity to bring Victor next season we’d love to do it.’
Now as one of our punters notes, given the only person who seems to have sleepless nights over Moses is Luke Shaw, who laughably thinks the Nigerian was a tougher opponent than Eden Hazard, we think the Blues boss could well be willing to sell the winger providing the money is right.
Chelsea’s valuations of players seem to differ from other clubs in the league and as one of our regulars laughs, they will probably manage to get at least £5 million more than Moses is actually worth!
