The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been dancing on the pool tables of late following back-to-back wins over bitter rivals Aberdeen. Indeed, while it’s been far for a vintage year at Ibrox, recent results have gone down very well.
As the hunt for a new manager drags on, the punters propping up our bar are delighted by the work of Graeme Murty. In temporary charge of the Light Blues for the second time in seven months, the youth team manager is a popular figure amongst our punters, despite some poor results along the way.
Reports suggest those behind the scenes in Glasgow are likely to make a move for Dons chief Derek McInnes this week, despite the fact he’s lost two games to his potential new employers inside a week. Murty outfoxed him on the tactical front twice in just a few days and, with his time in charge looking up, fans in the bar have been thanking him for his services.
