Confirmed: Hai Berden Says Striker Talks At Advanced Stage

Stoke City are close to signing 21-year-old VVV Venlo striker Michael Uchebo.

The chairman of VVV Venlo, Hai Berden, has confirmed that Stoke are set to complete a deal for the 6ft 5in front man this coming January.

“In regards to the transfer of Uchebo to Stoke City, we are at an advanced stage,’

Berden told De Telegraaf.

It is unclear whether the deal will be permanent or not but with Uchebo’s contract in Holland out at the end of the season then it is likely the club would want a fee for the Nigerian.
