Wolves: Fans applaud Conor Coady after scoring for England

Many Wolves fans were jubilant last night after Conor Coady scored for England during their 3-0 victory against Wales at Wembley.

The Three Lions comfortably dispatched Ryan Giggs’ side under the arch on what was a chilly night in north London. The Wolves captain got himself on the end of Kieran Trippier’s free-kick to give England a two-goal cushion.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Ings also found the net in a resounding victory for Gareth Southgate’s men, who face a more challenging test against Belgium on Sunday, the number one side in the world according to FIFA’s World Rankings.

It was only Coady’s second cap for England after making his debut during last month’s 0-0 draw against Denmark. With such strong performances, the 27-year-old can hope for further appearances for his country in the near future.

Unsurprisingly, this came with a wave of positive messages from the Wolves supporters who were delighted to see him get on the scoresheet. One fan suggested that the “fantastic” defender may have been taking notes from Raul Jimenez in training:
