Conte simply must utilise these 2 as impact subs against Leicester City today

Chelsea travel to face champions Leicester City this afternoon looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League, after losing 2-0 to Spurs before their FA Cup match last weekend.

It ended a mammoth winning streak for Antonio Conte’s side and the Italian must now ensure that his team put together another winning run, in order to cement their place at the summit of the division.

Conte has a plethora of star players and in his squad and many of the Chelsea supporters in the Transfer Tavern are in agreement that the Spurs result was merely a blip.

One fan in particular is having a game of pool in the Tavern and he thinks that the Spurs game will serve as a wake-up call and could act as a motivation for the team’s future endeavours this season.

Ahead of today’s big game, Lee Clarke looks at two players who Conte should utilise as impact substitutes at the King Power Stadium.

Michy Batshuayi

The former Marseille man helped himself to a goal against League One opposition in the FA Cup last weekend and his confidence could be boosted.

The Belgian hasn’t been in blistering form this season, although the form of Diego Costa has hampered his first-team chances.

Costa is likely to play against Leicester, although Batshuayi will be hoping to offer some when introduced as a sub at some point during the game.

Willian

The Brazilian was probably Chelsea’s best player during their miserable campaign last season, yet has found opportunities to shine restricted this season.

Leicester are likely to stand toe-to-toe with the Blues at the weekend and some flair from the bench could be just the tonic for Antonio Conte.

One Chelsea fan is having a pint of the landlord’s best bitter and he thinks that the Brazilian should start at the King Power Stadium, let alone sit on the bench.
