The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking towards next season with optimism, going in as champions of England and with some potential new signings too.
The Blues will no doubt be looking to win their third Premier League title in four years and retain their crown as champions of England following on from their dominant campaign last season.
There isn’t much that looks like it needs changing when you look at the Chelsea squad, apart from maybe a little more depth going into the Champions League next season. Other than that, their squad looks all but ready to go apart from one or two positions.
No matter who you are and by how much you dominated the table one season, changes always need to be made to keep things fresh and to keep your opponent’s guessing.
On that note, here are two players Conte needs Abramovich to sign if they want to retain their Premier League title…
Alex Sandro

Juventus are really digging their heels in on this one but it has been suggested that Chelsea will sign the Brazilian left-back to be used in their three-back formation which will give Sandro a chance to get forward slightly more.
Whilst he will surely come in as a replacement for Moses who isn’t getting any younger, neither him nor Alonso can naturally play at right back or right wing back meaning a bit of positional training will be needed for one of the two men.
Aged just 26, Sandro has already won two Serie A titles amongst a host of other accolades.
He is a winner so he’d seemingly fit in quite well at Stamford Bridge.
Ross Barkley

Now, Ross Barkley may not walk into the Blues’ first-team, though they don’t really need him to. Indeed, in order to retain the Premier League, Conte needs strength in the depth to call upon throughout a much busier campaign.
Barkley can operate as either a central midfielder, as well as part of an attacking trident further up field and perhaps Conte is finally the man to bring out the best out of him.
