Crystal Palace: Eagles eyeing Calum Adamson

Crystal Palace are eyeing up a move for Rangers teenager Calum Adamson, according to The Daily Record.
The Lowdown: Academy additions
Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman has been busy this year when it comes to bolstering the club’s academy ranks.
He secured moves for midfielder Dylan Reid from St Mirren and also landed young forward Franco Umeh from Cork City. It looks as if the Eagles have another teenage target in mind in Adamson, who appears to be in demand with a number of English clubs watching him.
The Latest: Palace offer
The Daily Record’s Ben Banks has said in the last 48 hours that Palace are keen on signing Adamson.
The promising midfielder has an offer of a professional deal on the table with Rangers, but Palace have been watching Adamson for a number of months.
The Verdict: One to watch?
If the Eagles were able to bring Adamson south, it could prove to be a real academy coup in the long run, especially with Rangers rating him enough to offer him professional terms.
Adamson is reportedly impressing for Scotland at U16 level, so he could slot into Palace’s academy and progress through the system relatively quickly.
We have seen a number of academy graduates in the Palace first team in recent years, with Tyrick Mitchell the latest to become a mainstay at Selhurst Park, so who knows, Adamson could be the next to make an impact in the academy and catch the eye of those at the top, making this a move to keep an eye on.
