Despite struggling for form when Aston Villa were in the Premier League, Grealish has turned a significant corner in his development in recent months and deserves another chance to impress at the top level.
Dele Alli has cemented his place in Pochettino’s first-team in recent years and been a standout performer for the club, but he has been relatively unchallenged during that time, so he will need to step up another gear next season if Grealish eventually arrives in North London.
