The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by club legend, Ian Wright. Wright is one of the club’s best ever strikers as he sits second behind Thierry Henry on Arsenal’s all-time goalscorer with 185 goals. The striker-turned-pundit, whilst speaking to Sky Sports, has been saying that the Arsenal fans have been taking a positive step by not turning up in recent months as the club continues to protest against Arsene Wenger and the board.
Ian Wright thinks Arsenal fans have taken a positive step by staying away from the Emirates Stadium in recent months.

The Arsenal fans propping our bar up have been moaning about Wenger and the board for a number of years, although the last two seasons have seen the atmosphere at The Emirates go from toxic to non-existent. Fans have put on protests against Wenger as the Frenchman refuses to call time on his Arsenal days. Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League since going invincible in the 2003/04 season and have also struggled in Europe, with their only high point being the club’s appearance in the Champions League final in 2006.
The Gunners could be on the way to their second major European final under Wenger as they battle it out in UEFA’s second-tier competition for a place back amongst the greats in the Champions League next year. Wenger’s side edged out Ostersunds and AC Milan in the first two knockout rounds and now face CSKA Moscow in the last eight. Whilst the club’s league campaign has been nothing short of a disaster, Europa League victory would ensure the season goes down as a success for the North Londoners.

Disagree. They’ve paid for the (season) tickets already, so they’re hurting the team by not supporting it, and cutting their noses off to spite their faces. If they don’t want their seats, hand them back to the club for someone who does

This is ridiculous frm @IanWright0 IF HE ACTUALLY said tht,as player himself he should b very well aware tht fans r the 12th Man & their support means a lot.If u want 2 protest thn ,don't buy drinks, merchandises etc ,but 2 remain absent frm matches is nt acceptable #afc #arsenal

Its not a positive, supporters of the team will turn up entitled clueless people wont. Shame one of greatest players thinks its a positive people dont turn up its hardly inspiring for the players.
