Whilst it was a relatively quiet summer at White Hart Lane on the transfer front, the Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have enjoyed quite the run of breaking news over the last few weeks.
Whilst not as exciting as a new signing, the Lilywhites have confirmed a number of new contracts for a number of their exciting young players over the last few weeks – and each has been met with a roar from the Tottenham faithful in attendance.
Today marks the latest – and one Tottenham fan leaning by the bar is touting it as the most important yet.
Tottenham have today confirmed that midfield ace Dele Alli has agreed a new deal that will see him remain with the club until 2022.

The deal follows a number of confirmed deals in recent weeks, with Eric Dier’s being the most significant thus far.
Interestingly, Alli only signed a new deal with Spurs earlier this year – and our landlord thinks that providing the Englishman with a new deal is a testament to how highly thought of he is at White Hart Lane.
The Tottenham fans in the Tavern are keen for this contract spree to continue, with Harry Kane the next name on their list.
