The Liverpool fans look nervous here in the Transfer Tavern as they sip their pints today.

The mere mention of Coutinho possibly leaving sends shivers down their spines.

Jurgen Klopp is finding himself in a difficult situation at the moment as one of his star players could be departing the club.

Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants, Barcelona in a deal that could be worth around £85 million.

Should that happen, Klopp will need to find himself a replacement for Coutinho as soon as possible in time for the new season.

One player who has been outlined as a potential replacement is Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

Whilst Pulisic is a great talent for his age, he is only 18-years-old and replacing one of the best players in the Premier League with an inexperienced 18-year-old could be disastrous for the Reds.

With that being said, here are two players that Klopp should go for, instead of buying Christian Pulisic…..

Lorenzo Insigne

If Jurgen Klopp wants to find a replacement for a world class superstar, he needs to find a world class superstar.

Look no further than Lorenzo Insigne.

This will be a difficult task as Insigne is currently playing for his hometown club, Napoli and may have intentions of spending his whole career there.

However, if Liverpool can lure him away he would be a great addition to the side.

Pacey, strong, brilliant on the ball and grabs plenty of goals. Seems like the perfect Coutinho replacement.

Davinson Sanchez

Although this wouldn’t be a replacement for Coutinho, with the money they would get from the deal they could easily afford Insigne and Davinson Sanchez.

Liverpool could do with bolstering up their defence and Sanchez would do just that.

The Ajax centre-back is still young at 21-years-old so Klopp could mould him into a player he could use for years to come.

He wouldn’t cost much and being able to strengthen the attack and defence of Liverpool would be far more beneficial than buying Pulisic.
