A couple of Arsenal supporters are mulling over the club’s season with a couple of pints of Guinness and one fan cannot recall a season that has petered out in such spectacular fashion as this one, stating that Wenger simply must resign at the end of the campaign.

There is little doubting Welbeck’s ability as a footballer but after such a long period out with injury the Arsenal management would be wise to mange him carefully, which could mean a return to the bench for the Manchester City contest.
