It was a disappointing afternoon at Turf Moor for Burnley today as they fell 2-0 to Manchester United, leaving their supporters here in the Tavern a little underwhelmed at what could have been a real giant killing!
Burnley have been superb at home this time out and it’s clear that Sean Dyche has got his troops organised and working hard as they’ve somewhat easily secured their league status for yet another season.
But first-half goals from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney were the difference today, leaving the Clarets sat comfortably in mid-table with just a handful of games left to play.
And after the game, Twitter and Burnley fans in particular had a lot to say about the result. Although our Burnley-mad barman feels it’s been a successful campaign down at Turf Moor, he knows that there’s a big summer ahead for Sean Dyche and his players to ensure they’re ready for next season.
